29. December, 2005:

FINALLY! It's me again ...

Those of you, who keep checking this web page regularly, will know that no work has been done here for almost two years. My job keeps me quite busy and unfortunately, I am not able put much work into this site. The bad news is: I won't have time for that in 2006, either. Anyway - and now I'm coming to the good news - I have decided to give this web page an update at least twice a year. There will be one in the summer and one around new years day. I am sorry for not being able to do more, but at least - as long as there is no such thing as the official Lisa Tuttle Home Page - there will still be one reliable source for her fans to turn to.

By the way: Regarding some of the e-mails I got in the last couple of years, I wish to clarify that I am not Lisa Tuttle. I am just a fan, located in Germany. In the late 80s I read my first Tuttle short stories, which I really liked. Later, when I was searching the internet for other stories or books by L.T., I realized that there was no complete bibliography to be found on the World Wide Web. That's how this web page got started. Anyway, people trying to contact Mrs. Tuttle can still do so by sending an e-mail via the address given in the contact section. If it looks serious, I'll forward it to Lisa.

But now for the really relevant news items:

The last two years saw the publication of two new Lisa Tuttle books, MY DEATH and THE MYSTERIES. The most recent releases are paperback editions of THE PILLOW FRIEND and THE MYSTERIES by Spectra Books on December 27th. The bibliography has been updated accordingly. A brand new book, called THE SILVER BOUGH, will be released in the spring of 2006. Amazon lists the April 25th as the date of release.

WRITING FANTASY & SCIENCE FICTION appeared in a revised 2nd edition in May 2005.

At this point, I am happy to reveal that Lisa Tuttle is the actual author of the first eight books in the Young Adult Series THE DOLPHIN DIARIES (actually, the fact has already been mentioned in the 2003 Fantastic Metropolis interview, see the link section). These stories have been published in the UK under the house name "Lucy Daniels" and in the USA under the name of "Ben M. Baglio" between 2000 and 2002. You'll find a separate page dedicated to Lisa's dolphin stories in the bibliography section.

The German fans will be glad to hear that the first 6 books of the Dolphin Diaries even got a German release as JODY UND DIE DELFINE. Look for those in the german bibliography. Also, THE MYSTERIES and the upcoming THE SILVER BOUGH have been sold to the german publisher Piper. No release date has been set for either book, yet. Not counting the Dolphin Diaries, these will be the first publications of Lisa's work in Germany in 6 years!

The 1976 story WOMAN WAITING can now be read online at RevolutionSF.com.

The Canadian television series THE HUNGER has been released on DVD in the United Kingdom. There is one DVD-Box for each season, the second one containing the episode "Replacements", which is supposedly based on the Tuttle story of the same name. I still haven't seen this and cannot comment any further on it ...

For those of you who wondered: There is actually a www.lisatuttle.com which is even the home page of an author. To prevent any irritation, please be assured that OUR Lisa Tuttle, author of such great books as A Nest of Nightmares, The Pillow Friend, My Death, etc., is neither identical with nor related to the Mrs. Tuttle that runs the aforementioned web page.

There are some updates in the link section. However, I am not quite done with the external links, so there will be an upgrade within the next couple of weeks.

A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU!
