I will give up this website. If somebody wants to continue with it, let me know. Or maybe someone wants to take all the information and want to put it into a new design. I will not hinder anybody to take the content into his own website, because I have not collected it for myself, but for the fans. I hope someone will keep it actual and continues with the collection of information. I think this site could be a good start for a great website. (If you take the complete site, you should have at least 30MB free space on a server.) If nobody is interested, I will keep the site frozen as it is for a limited time (as long as my provider lets me), but will remove my name from it.
In the last time I had no time for updates to my site anyway. So, there is not so much that changes. I'm only one of many fans, and You can still meet all the other specialists on the message-board. Neither Shirley Bassey seems to be interested in fan-sites, nor has her management ever supported me. Maybe someone else will continue with the Shirley Bassey site.
It is not because of you, the fans. Some of you have always encouraged me, but in these crazy days I don't want to spend time and money for such a hobby anymore. That does not mean that I don't like the music, but I have more important things to do, which is in particular to care for my family, to serve God, to help other people and to earn money. To close the website will help me to concentrate on my way of life that makes me really happy. I have decided that this is not the time for me personally to investigate more in a hobby.
I had great fun in creating the website, got many nice contacts and have learned much, therefore I don't regret what I have done. I want to use the opportunity to thank you all for the support and the enthusiasm.
In May 2003 I will sell out my complete collection of Shirley Bassey items by ebay auction. I will let you know the auction-numbers if you send me an email that you are interested in buying some of the items. This will be a unique opportunity for every collector, because I have some rare items you may not be able to find anywhere else again. You don't need to email me now about particular records, I will put them for auction as packets.
Don't try to change my mind - it is decided by me personally already. I hope you don't misunderstand, it is not because of Shirley Bassey or one of the fans, I love you all.
