It would be interesting to know programming times (without EEPROM) as well. (Please enter the programming speed for ATmega as well.)

|
| How reliable is Amadeus? Did you notice any problems caused by Amadeus? |
Amadeus works correctly.
I encounter problems. Please enter details below in comment field!
|
| Trace function: |
I use it regularly
I used it a few times
I'm interested, but never used so far
I'm not interested in it
|
| RAM/EEPROM Read Resets: |
I use it regularly
I used it a few times
I'm not interested in it
I'd like to use it, but it is not supported for the MCU I'm using
|
|
UPAL: |
I like it. I already wrote my own algorithm or edited a given algorithm.
I like it, because it offers me the possibility to create my own special algorithm or modify an existing one.
I'm not interested in it, because I only use provided algorithms.
|
Future design? What is important to you, if there would be a new design for Amadeus? (Currently not planned, but for interest.) |
All components should be SMD and it should become very small.
The programmer's MCU should be in a DIL socket, the other parts should be SMD.
Don't use SMD components. It's to difficult to solder.
|
The relais shall stay. (don't need to be assembled, if not needed.)
The relais is not needed at all. Remove it from the programmer.
|
Use FT232R as USB converter, because it can handle the PIC18 firmware update automatically.
Use FT245R (parallel). (Programming speed might increase a bit, but for firmware updates a jumper must be set in this case!)
|
I prefere short programming periods, therefore I'd accept a more complex design.
I favor programmers with a simple design and accept a lower programming speed therefore.
