The APRS Telemetry Interface

The Serial Interface

Adapter The serial line of the interface is used for configuration and for serial output only. So there is no normal 9 pin SubD connector. It is only a 3 Pin connector, P9/RS232. I use a little adaptor form the 3 Pin connector to the SubD-system.

The ground pin of the connector is connected to pin 5 of the SubD-connector. The TXD-pin in the middle is connected to pin 2 of the SubD and the third pin, RXD is connected to pin 3. Depending on your cable to the PC you may have to exchange Pins 2 and 3 of the SubD-connector.

The parameters of the line are preset to 9600Bd, 8 Databits, no parity, 1 stopbit.
