Electronic morse keyer

Microbug MB1200

Burkhard John

Microbug is a little project for the homebrewer. You will get a simple to use but quite comfortable morse keyer. Place it directly inside your homemade QRP-transceiver. The system is based on an Atmel AT90S1200 AVR-Microcontroller.

Properties

  • The electronic generates exact dots and dashes with a relation 1:3 to form characters in morse code.
  • You can use a memory for dot and for dash.
  • You can use a single paddle or a squeeze keyer.
  • The speed can be adjusted freely from very slow to really fast.
  • The memory for text can save about 60 characters, enough space for a longer CQ.
  • You can control your characters by the sidetone.
  • The "Tune"-button helps to tune your transmitter.
