Holidays in Cecina above Toscolano-Maderno Our holiday apartment, suitable for as many as 4 persons, is situated in the medieval village Cecina (250 residents) above of Toscolano-Maderno on a slope of Monte Pizzocolo 70m above the shore of Garda Lake. You will enjoy the panoramic view over the azure lake from the terrace, it's simply magical. That's something for romantics and individualists. The apartment is located on the 1st floor of a "Palazzino", which is shared with 9 other private units. The building was recently (spring 2004) restored completely to nowadays comfort. The atmosphere in the house is private, it's not a commercial resort.

Accomodation to the top 2 rooms 50 m²: living/dining room with kitchen corner, bedroom (double-bedded), bathroom with shower cabin, bidet, toilet, gas fired heating system. There is a public parking site as near as 150m by the house. The rooms offer beds for 2 to 4 persons. The furniture is demanding and sophisticated. You will certainly relax and feel fine. There is a fantastic panoramic view not only on the terrace, but from both rooms, too. · The terrace (18 m²) faces to the southeast and offers a tremendous view over the Garda Lake between Monte Baldo and Punta San Vigilio. Depending on the season, sunshine hits the terrace between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. For your use: 2 deckchairs, a marble table with 4 chairs, a large umbrella, fixable individually to your requirements. Flowers on the lateral sides give sight protection. · The bedroom is overlooking the lake and is furnished with a 160cm double bed (grand lit) and a big wardrobe, which contains two mirrors inside. · The living and dining room is overlooking the lake as well. You will find a dining table with 4 leather chairs and SAT TV. The couch is changeable into a folding bed (150cm) for a third or fourth person. A wardrobe spends more space for clothes and utilities, and offers another mirror. · The kitchen corner makes available: a gas cooker (4 flames), oven with microwave, fridge with freezer, dish washer, coffee machine, espresso machine, toaster, crockery and cutlery and even more you can use.

Cecina to the top

You will spend your holidays in the village of Cecina (sounds like "checheena"), a fraction of the well known lakeside town Toscolano-Maderno. Your address in Italy: Via Cecina 36, 25088 Cecina di Toscolano-Maderno.
There is the village grocer's shop "alimentari" next door. They will be pleased to serve you in a typically mediterranean way. Supermarkets can be found in Toscolano (2 km) or Maderno (3 km).
Two restaurants are nearby, "La Macina" (200m) and "La Sosta" (400m), and offer italian hospitality. It's a walk of 7 minutes to the lake shore. Hiking trails through the olive gardens start directly behind the house. A golf course (18 holes) is as near as 1 km. A tennis court can be reached within 3 km.

Toscolano-Maderno to the top

The twin-town of Toscolano-Maderno is situated at the western shore of the Garda Lake, which is called "Riviera dei Limoni" (lemon coast) in Italy, because of it's mediterranean climate.
Maderno will offer you two public beaches and a long lakeside promenade to go for a stroll. Street cafés, trattorias, bars, pubs and lots of little shops will invite you. All kinds of boats are for hire at the harbor. A car ferry connects both shores of the Garda Lake between Maderno and Torri del Benaco.

The Lake Garda to the top

All sightseeing objects around the Garda Lake can be reached by boat easily off the harbor of Maderno, like Malcésine (cable to Monte Baldo), Punta San Vigilio (marvellous beach), Peschiera (Gardaland, Aqua-Parcs), Sirmione (with the famous Catullo spas and the castle of Scaliger), Gardone ("Vittoriale" monument), Salò (lakeside promenade, shopping), Limone (lemon gardens), Riva del Garda (medieval fort "Bastione", waterfalls).
Visit the impressing romanesque city of Verona, reached by car in less than one hour. The roman arena is a "must see", as well as the historical buildings, the theatres, the museums. Verona is a place for luxury shopping as well. The opera festival, which is held in the roman arena year by year, is famous worldwide.

Accomodation to the top The rental period is the week, starting on saturday (day of arrival) and ending on saturday (day of departure). Different booking periods (if available) may be arranged with us. A reservation is made, as soon as at least half (50%) of the rental price has been payed to our bank account. The balance is payable 4 weeks before arrival. In a case of rescission, half of the rental price will be payed back. If we are able to let the apartment last minute, the complete payment can be returned. Please be so kind, not to take animals into the apartment. Sorry, chairs and beds especially for little children are not available. Please use your own bed-linen, bath towels and kitchen towels. Prices to the top
