underground lake

the rock stratum of this lake is more than 350 million years old and contains remnants of europe’s earliest history,
such as coral, when it was covered by the ocean.

the cavern was created 5 million years ago,
long before the first humans lived on the earth.

the lake in this cavern has several small pools.
one of them has incredibly pure water.
It was chemically examined and the results confirmed this. another pool is so full of mud,
that it is possible to crawl over the surface
on your hands and knees without breaking through.

these two opposite parts belong together.
one part cannot exist without the other.

nirvana cannot exist without samsara,
the high cannot exist without the low.

if you want to reach out for the sky,
you must be able appreciate standing in the dirt before.

this essence brings about wisdom,
understanding without judgement,
acceptance and knowledge.
