black celebration

What a start into a new chapter of my life! Slowly I get back to normality. Everything has been a bit crazy since I'm back from the States. When I got back, I just had time to empty my suitcase, re-pack, went to my parents for x-mas. A few days to re-adjust to good ol' Germany, but the minute I started working again I was drowned in it. Not only catching up with being gone for 6 weeks, 1st of the month, 1st of a quarter, 1st of the New Year, oh no, my boss-boss decided to have a big company event in London and I was part of the orga team. This resulted in a very strict life diet consisting of

1. working
2. eating
3. watching 3 seasons of Alias
4. sleeping
5. start at 1.

Until last weekend. In London we were about 300 people from all over the world, even remote parts like India or outposts of civilisation like Scotland. It was awesome. I stayed an extra day to visit a friend, but wasn't able to do very much, which was absolutely totally fine. I can't tell you how exhausted I was.

Back in Hamburg I didn't have a lot of time, or worse: energy, to prepare my birthday. Bottomline is I didn't do much. Until last week I didn't even know what I wanted to do that day. Which was excellent, I couldn't ask for a better time to be distracted from my yearly source of misery, especially this one. So I kept it very very simple.

Last Supper
Pre Cinema Ritual:
Kebab at the Findeltürke.
Afterall, it's my party
and I can eat what I want to!

After the sneak I toasted with my Hamburg crowd "into" my birthday and Tuesday I had a little sit-in with my Harburg crowd. All nice and quiet.

I'm doomed!
Last picture before the stroke of midnight.

I'm still working on reducing my adrenalin level, but getting there.
