Six beer jobs @ Camp Choas / Part 2
(10:46:11 26/03/06) Well, the prototype was ok but what I needed was a less ugly one for the living room, so I took another Notebook (Pentium II shit) and built another display. The prototype by the way is displaying my life in pictures on a wall at work. Anyway, here it is, the final display. ![]() Well as you might noticed I got it to work without keyboard and pad. No harddrive required. Booting from CD only and accesses the usb stick automatically. ![]() USB Memorystick access and ventilator hole.. ![]() The whole thing without integrated ac-adapter. ![]() OK, let's test it the first time. OK, booting. Booting is good. ![]() Hm. ![]() Let's integrate the ac-adapter. OK, done. ![]() Ventilator hole with black metal plate. ![]() CD-Rom access hole with black metal plate. ![]() Booting again. ![]() Yay, it's working. All I need now is a back plate and lots of sandpaper and I'm done. Cool, eh? Um, so after an odyssey at the sandpaperfront I finally ended with this beauty here: ![]() Backplate with access to the usb-stick. ![]() I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that ![]() Here we have it in it's final destination - the living room. current mood: Getting rich with digital displays - the Lars way. current music: a perfect circle - judith |
