Six beer jobs @ Camp Choas / Part 2
(10:46:11 26/03/06)

Well, the prototype was ok but what I needed was a less ugly one for the living room, so I took another Notebook (Pentium II shit) and built another display.

The prototype by the way is displaying my life in pictures on a wall at work.

Anyway, here it is, the final display.

Well as you might noticed I got it to work without keyboard and pad. No harddrive required. Booting from CD only and accesses the usb stick automatically.

USB Memorystick access and ventilator hole..

The whole thing without integrated ac-adapter.

OK, let's test it the first time. OK, booting. Booting is good.

Hm.

Let's integrate the ac-adapter.

OK, done.

Ventilator hole with black metal plate.

CD-Rom access hole with black metal plate.

Booting again.

Yay, it's working.

All I need now is a back plate and lots of sandpaper and I'm done.

Cool, eh?

Um, so after an odyssey at the sandpaperfront I finally ended with this beauty here:

Backplate with access to the usb-stick.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that

Here we have it in it's final destination - the living room.

current mood:
Getting rich with digital displays - the Lars way.

current music: a perfect circle - judith
