01. ABOUT
Florian Riedl studied Saxophon at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich, Germany. As a doubling reed player he has performed in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgien, Slovakia, Hungary, Brazil, China, Portugal, Sweden.
He worked togehter with many renowed musicians like Joseph Bowie, Bobby Shew, Dusko Goykovich, Claudio Roditi, Charly Antolini, Ithamara Koorax, Leila Maria, Miriam Aïda, Marco Lobo besides international pop-music artists like Mika at the MTV European Music Awards 2007.

As a composer, he wrote the original cinema score music for Doris Dörrie's movies "Nackt", "Der Fischer und seine Frau" and for the documentary "How to cook your life". Furthermore he composed for several Film and TV Productions (ARD, ZDF and ARTe), many commercials and recorded in countless studio sessions. More about at www.bsides.de

02. NEWS
The Hi-Fly Orchestra belongs to his own band projects. THFO, which has been last year in a successful european tour trough Amsterdam, Brussels, Antwerp, Paris, Strasbourg, Stuttgart, Munich, Vienna, Brastislava and Budapest, is already preparing a sweedish autumn tour in 2010. The new album Mambo Atomico is going to be presented in Munich on April 17th 2010 at Atomic Café, featuring the wonderful jazz singer Miriam Aïda.

Florian Riedl is also working on his new jazz trio FR-Trio with Martin Kolb and Peter Cudek. The FR-Trio presents original modern jazz compositions in a creative formation (sax, bass and drums). More to come soon.
