Then it was time for the Swatch Kiosk, we tried very hard to clean the Swatch warehouse...

After the Kiosk, it was time for a few presentations: The head of Swatch The Club, Patrick Jaron, gave a few details about Swatch The Club (planned activities [yes, they want to relaunch the website of the Club soon :-]).

Patrick also showed the facts about the new Gold Members 2004:

I think that about 18 of the new Gold Members took part at the event in Brussels, so that's not bad at all!
Afterwards, we got a presentation about upcoming products (F/W collection 2004/05 etc.). I am really REALLY REALLY excited that Swatch will finally launch a Penguin watch! (this watch will never be available in the shops because I will buy the complete production :-) [not]). It looks great!

And there will be another Vendôme/Spiga leather suitcase with seven Diaphane Irony Chronos, limited and numbered to 200 pcs total:

... I will leave the other news as a surprise!
Very soon (for the Olympics), a real stop watch will be available in the shops. You can put any Irony Chrono in the outer plastic ring and use it as a real stop watch. It will come in a special packaging together with a new Irony Chrono model.

All collectors were really excited to hear the news. We are all looking forward to see the new stuff in the shops!

Dinner time after a long day...
...we were sitting on two different floors...
Peter and Valter at the higher floor

Later in the evening, the seven paintings found a new home:
Henk is happy!
waiting for the main course :-/
Then, it was time to distribute the Gold & Pioneer Event 2004 special. The watches were hiding in many heavy boxes:

The special is a very nice Diaphane Automatic swatch, limited to only
150 pcs (not numbered), ref.no. SVDZ4001AG. Again: Only 150
pcs exist of this watch, it is a unique model! The watch comes in
a nice and very heavy acrylic packaging (not numbered) with some words
why this watch was issued:

The Gold & Pioneer Event 2004 special is really, really beautiful, a top class watch in a top class packaging! Way to go! And thanks so much to everyone at Swatch The Club for making this special reality! We really appreciate your efforts!
Happy collectors :-)
The dinner took place at the restaurant La Soeur du Patron.
I don't think that I can recommend that restaurant at all because we got
our menu shortly before midnight when the buses were ready to leave. We
had much, much better dinners during the next two days.
At the end of the evening, Ton Cleijne (formerly head of Swatch The Club; he is now working for Swatch Belgium), presented a cheque of 4000 Euros to Sonja Peters (she is a dutch tennis player participating at the Paralympics). The money was raised from selling the paintings and the lottery. Of course the money will go to the whole dutch paralympic team, not Sonja alone :-)
