Information about 3" CDs by The Rolling Stones

CDs in the 3" (8cm) format were marketed as "single" format in the early days of CDs.  They were manufactured in the USA in the late 80s, in Europe between 1987 and 1992, and in Japan until the mid 90s.  As this format failed to succeed, 3" CDs (especially of well-known artists) are now a collectors item.  One reason for collectability is the availability of rare mixes and B-sides only on these 3" single CDs.

For The Rolling Stones, 3" CDs were issued in Europe (made in Austria or Holland) and Japan.

Europe

11 single titles were issued in Europe by CSB/Sony, some of them in several versions.  The 3" CDs state either "Made in Austria" or "Made in Holland" on the CD itself.  The following list is ordered by catalogue numbers.  I assume that this is also the order of release dates (although the exact dates are unknown to me, if you know them, please email :-)

A promotion mini CD from a german fashionhouse called DEYK Triple stone, Im Kleinen Felde 2, 32051 Herford, Germany. 
Printed in the 90s in Gütersloh, Germany.  I am not sure under which license terms this CD was issued.
