Berlin Gold & Pioneer / Beachvolley Event, 22 to 26-JUN-2005

page 2 - painting and Swatch kiosk at the Stadtbad Prenzlauer-Berg
The next morning (thursday, 23-JUN), we took a few buses (right now, there are 4 buses necessary to transport the 165 participants, wow!) to the Stadtbad Prenzlauer-Berg.

The Stadtbad Prenzlauer-Berg is an indoor swimming pool, constructed in 1899.  As you can see from the pictures below, it is no longer in use.  A co-operative bought the Stadtbad in 2002, they plan to renovate it and to reopen it to the public.  However, to me it looks like as if there is no definitive date for the reopening.  Too bad....

In the Stadtbad, we had the usual topics of a Gold & Pioneer event:

presentation of new products (eg. Fun Boarder) and planned activites of the club

kiosk...

...with the chance to buy some nice pieces

And also some activities:  Painting.

The club members were asked to finish many small pictures.  Later in the day, we would see the masterplan behind this :-)

Paco giving his best!

Jörg and Conny trying hard!

Some finished art works

Later in the day, there was also a lucky draw with the chance to win some nice T-shirts used for decoration in some nordic swatch stores, together with the accompanying watches:

Conny had 'bad' luck because they arrived by plane and this T-shirt cannot be folded at all!

When we exited the Stadtbad in the late afternoon, we received a nice little gift (see the number in the lower left!):

It was very hot (the whole event!) in Berlin, so we were lucky that the gift only looked like chocolate but it was gold painted wood!

Afterwards, some free time at the hotel for relaxing, talking etc.etc.

See more pictures from the Gold & Pioneer Event (dinner at the Kula Karma) on page 3 of my report.
