biconic CEV
The biconic shape combined with trim flaps provides lift at hypersonic
speed. This increases the cross range capability, without
adding the weight penalty of wings.With a base diameter of 5.5 m this vessel is quite large, providing space for a crew of 6 astronauts.
The landing on the parasail is the fun part. This parasail is like a flexible wing, allowing precise final approaches onto a runway or landing spot.
