The themes of the weeklong programme were International Management and Economic Development.
The lectures on International Management was held by Professor Thomas Peisl from Munich, and the Economic
Development module was taught by Professor Bob Morgan.

Objectives of
Programme.
- To analyse
the problems and issues involved in managing the multi-national enterprise
- To study
how the local economy interacts with the global economy, with particular
reference to Small & Medium Sized Enterprises
- To analyse
the role of “culture” in economic development and the internationalisation
of the business
There was a mixture of lectures, case studies, seminars and
visits. The major commercial visit was to the Bosch alternator plant in Cardiff. Mr Chris Hyde
the chief training manager at Bosch, was leading a seminar on the challenges and
opportunities for a German company doing business in Great Britain.
