DIA - dependencies

or Dia in Dia

Dia depencies The scaled down version of the diagram to the left shows Dias internal and external dependencies. You can click the image to see the huge, readable png version. It is also available as original dia file and as svg.

To compile Dia yourself beside some developer skills you need a recent source snapshot of the cvs version of Dia (probably working best short after a commit of mine).

Also you need Gtk+2.0, GLib 2.0, Pango 1.0, Atk 1.0 from their respective cvs branch or get all of the above packaged from Tor Lillqvist's Gtk+ and The Gimp for win32 site. On Tor's site there are links to the packages needed to fulfil Gtk+ dependencies.

Additonal libxml2 from cvs or from the official libxml site and libart (cvs) are needed.

To compile the xslt plug-in you'll need libxslt also available from the xml site.

Finally a recent Python installation is needed to build the respective Dia plug-in.

Before bothering anyone else with maybe stupid question please read and understand your compilers documentation and the file glib/README.win32. Also it is highly recommended to scan the mailing list archives.

Please also read the more detailed information on compiling Dia

It is always good style to ask questions on a mailing list instead of sending private mail. Please remember that all those (L)GPL software is provided with absolutely no warranty or support.
