Stopover

a crossover with Ladywolfe's KR universe
Don't ask what bit me to start this story or how I ever came up with an at least partially logical plot, but here it is: a crossover between two KR universes. It involves my KR/TKR universe and you should read Nemesis before you tackle this one! :)

"Convertible?" Michael echoed.
KITT nodded, an amused smile in his eyes.
"Super-what mode?"
"Super Pursuit Mode. A forty percent increase of speed. And the convertible mode was RC's idea."
"Who?"
"I see where our worlds drifted apart," KITT remarked.
It was Michael's first time out of the infirmary bed and though the doctor had protested, he had told him he was fine. He wasn't, granted, but he was standing on his own two feet and he had every intention on leaving ASAP. Currently they were in the garage where everyone was preparing to leave for the site of the cross-dimensional portal. Jenny and Erica were still there and Trek had gone ahead to check on the readings up close.
"I don't believe it," Michael muttered. "A convertible." A sly smile crossed his lips.
"Oh, don't even think about it!" Kitt protested. He was already in car mode and his scanner tracked wildly back and forth. "No way am I changing my looks!"
"Now that you say it...," Nick said thoughtfully, rubbing his chin.
A low, warning growl came from Karr and the dark-haired man laughed. "My shape stays as it is," Karr announced. "Otherwise you can look for a new set of wheels."
