It was a metal planet. The planet's name was Cybertron. It was currently being repaired after the attack on it by Ath'antheia and the rest of the Tji force. The people who were repairing the planet were not ordinary people but giant robots known as Autobots and Decepticons. These two factions which had been warring for a number of years now had a steady alliance between them. They had also welcomed their previous enemies the Sentinels into their mist. The Sentinels and their leader Midnight had been helping the autobots for about a millenia now. There was a new Interface team: Fang and Ashtar. They had joined a little over a year ago. The Seekers, led by Tornado were also helping the autobots repair the planet. Although it seemed all was quiet on the home front after the Tji, Diana McKenzie and her daughter had all been dealt with, in all actuality the transformers and their comrades were still in danger from the ACL especially after what had happened with the Pradoxx. Until now, everything had been quiet.
 "RODIMUS!", came a yell from the left most window at the top of West Central. Rodimus Prime, second in command to Optimus Prime and Interfaced to Shanygn Cavanaugh  ran into the elder Prime's office. "Rodimus", Optimus said grimly, "Alicia Hunt was set free on $250,000 bond. She was set free by Carter who was behind the whole kidnapping Nicholas thing twelve years earlier." "WHAT!", yelled Rodimus. "I'm afraid it's true", said Optimus, "we need to arrange a council meeting as soon as possible. You let every member of the council know about this, except Firefall as I have no idea where she's at."  "Yes, I will," replied Rodimus. Rodimus then left Optimus's office and headed into his own office where he proceeded to let everyone know about the council meeting which would be held in two days.
 Midnight was on Alean. He was currently in his office on Alean when his computer beeped. Incoming email was flashing on the screen. Mid opened the email and was surprised to see Roddy on the screen. "Rodimus," said Midnight, "I'd be back to Cybertron in a few weeks but something's wrong otherwise you wouldn't have emailed me." "My friend", said Rodimus, "You're very perceptive. Something has happened. Remember Alicia Hunt, daughter of Diana, and Carter, the leader of the whole Nicholas kidnapping thing?" "Yes," replied Mid, "But what does that have to do with the sudden email?" "Mid," said Rodimus, "Alicia was set free by Carter." "WHAT!!", yelled Mid, "You can't be serious." "Oh, I am perfectly serious," said Roddy. Midnight sighed. "Very well, I'll be back at Cybertron within two hours.", said Mid. It was now two hours later. The sentinel leader was back on Cybertron, meeting with Rodimus, Tornado, and the rest of the council. Optimus mentioned to the others that he would have people watching out for Miss Hunt. He then told the other members that each of them would have two bodyguards. Optimus then asked the others who they would trust to be their bodyguards. Rodimus said Smokescreen and Bluestreak. Optimus said Silouhette and Ultra Magnus. Midnight said Fang and Dagger. Tornado said Glacier and Phoenix. Finally, Megatron said Soundwave and Razorclaw.
 Alicia, meanwhile, was in Kyoto, Japan with Carter. Carter told her that he would disguise her as Sakura the daughter of Ambassador Yoshiro Koshitae, since the japanese were pro-cybertronian. Carter also told her that he had booked a flight to Cybertron, and replenished her supply of armor-piercing bullets, but made them into sniper bullets so that they could fit into a PSG-1. Alicia smiled grimly. She had just been given a second chance to make the cybertronians pay, and this time, she thought to herself, she wouldn't fail.
 A few days later, "Sakura" boarded the flight to Cybertron with her "father" Yoshiro Koshitae. Upon arrival, she and Mr. Koshitae checked into West Central. Alicia looked at the calendar her "father" possessed and saw that the next Council meeting was in four days. After telling her "father" that she needed to use the restroom, she went into the restroom and pieced together a PSG-1. She also loaded it. She hid it in an empty briefcase she had brought along for that specific purpose.

 Three days later, "Sakura" killed her father with one of fifty-six bullets in the gun and walked into the Council Chamber alongside Midnight, (Dagger and Fang were training on Alean) who didn't even see her. She walked into a nearby shadow and watched as the other Council members and their bodyguards walked in. Keeping in the shadows she walked around to inbetween Midnight and Tornado's chairs. She crouched down, pulled out the scope, and aimed upward, so that the laser sight fell right between Mid's wings. She pulled out the arm rest and realigned her sights. When she was sure they were straight she pulled the trigger four different times. Twice at the wing site, then twice more, at the middle of the back.
 With the first shot at the wing site, Midnight gasped aloud. Optimus stopped what he was saying and looked to Midnight in confusion. Around that time there was another bang from the sniper gun, Rodimus then saw shrapnel and his friend's 'blood' explode out of his friend's chest. There was a small pool of it on the table. Midnight screamed in pain. "Midnight!", screamed Roddy and Optimus Prime. Rodimus could see that his friend was slowly graying. He then heard another two shots fired. With the first shot Midnight scrambled out of his chair and Tornado could see Midnight was losing a large amount of his 'blood' from a baseball sized wound in his back. Midnight leaned against the table using one hand to feel his back. Rodimus then saw Mid peel his hand away and bring it around to look at it. The hand was stained yellow from his 'blood'. As soon as Midnight pulled his hand away, there was a final shot. Midnight screamed in pain, then collapsed backward like a limp piece of string. Tornado was just quick enough to catch the collapsing Midnight. After the final shot there was silence in the Council Chamber as all present tried to deal with the sudden attack on Midnight.
 "Midnight!!!," Tornado screamed as he caught the falling Sentinel under his arms. He watched with horror as the 'blood' continued to gush out of Mid's wounds. Midnight cried out as Tornado caught him.  He then lowered his younger counterpart gently to the floor of the Council room. He sat down in a way that his thighs were resting on his heels. Midnight's upper shoulders and head were now cradled against Tornado's thighs. When he felt warmth and wetness on his thighs he propped Mid up to find a wide stream of Mid's 'blood' flowing down his back from two baseball sized wounds. There were pieces of shrapnel surrounding the two wounds and an angry circle of dark red surrounding the top wound. "Damnit, an infection." said Tornado. Tornado, who had been the seeker medic, could hear Mid's airways being clotted with fluids, see a growing infection on the wing hole, and see that Midnight was rapidly losing consciousness. "It hu.....hurts, Tornado." Midnight weakly whispered. "I know," said Tornado. "I'd just wish I'd heard you gasp when I heard that first shot." "It's....unhh....not your....unhh....fault." said Midnight weakly as he grasped the rug in pain due to his aura flowing against the two wounds. "Do you want me to cut off your pain sensors?" asked Tornado. "No,.....it'll......tr....transfer.....to....unhh.....Steve if......you.....do. My sur......survival.....has......se......second....unhh.....place....to......his. It's always......unhh.....been that......unhh....way." explained Midnight weakly. "Rodimus, Optimus, get over here! Mid's been shot by a sniper!!! Tornado yelled. "Hold on. Don't give up, not now." Tornado whispered as he cradled Midnight's upper body on his lap. Rodimus hurried over.He could see that a large puddle of his friend's 'blood' surrounded the lower half of his body. "Midnight, what'd that bitch do to you?" he whispered in shock. He looked at his friend's face, saw that he was in severe pain, and that his optics were weakly glowing due to the pain. "R....Rod.....Rodimus?" Mid weakly whispered. Rodimus winced as he heard his friend's weak and pain-filled question. "Shh friend you'll be alright. Just hang on. Don't give up. Not now" said Rodimus in reply, but in his spark he wondered whether that was true as he looked over the baseball sized wound in his friend's chest at the top of his cockpit. He then took the time to alert Shan of what had happened. Optimus walked over and asked Tornado how bad were the injuries. Tornado used his hands to gently prop Midnight up and show him and Roddy the two baseball-sized wounds. Midnight whimpered as Tornado propped him up. "Primus!," said Optimus as he saw the Sentinel leader's wounds, and growing infection. Optimus could see Mid was a little grayed and thus, seeing the gray, he  told Tornado to get Mid as fast as he could to Medbay.
 After Alicia shot Midnight, she ran out of the Council room and ran toward the Badlands. She decided she would hide out here as long as necessary. After all, she thought to herself, the Alliance would be too grief-stricken about the attack to look for her.
 Meanwhile, somewhere else, Steve woke up from a sound sleep alongside Ashtar. "Midnight!!!", he screamed. He took two steps out of bed and then collapsed into unconsciousness. "Steve!" Ashtar screamed. She then summoned Dr. Scott. He and the rest of the human medbay team ran into Steve's apartment and carted him quickly off to medbay.

 Tornado picked Mid up, thus making Mid cry out and lose consciousness. He ran into Medbay, screaming for Skywolf as loud as he could. Skywolf, hearing him, ran out about to ask why the hell Tornado was screaming so loud when he saw Tornado's stained arms, hands, and legs. In his arms was the limp Midnight, who had a bloodstained chest, which had a baseball sized hole from which his 'blood' was dripping onto the floor..
 "What happened!!!" screamed Wolf. "I-I don't know," murmured Tornado. "We were talking about Miss Hunt when there were two gunshots. Midnight looked at his hands which were blood stained, there were two more gunshots, shrapnel from the second shot exploded out of his chest, then he collapsed backward like a limp piece of string." Wolf carefully took Midnight from Tornado, lay Mid on one of the medical flats, and turned Mid over on his side to glimpse two baseball sized holes in Midnight's back amd the growing infection. "Damn, this is bad." murmured Wolf as he ran a scanner over Mid's body. "How so?" asked Tornado. "Well, for one thing," replied Wolf. "the first hole has definitely hit the fuel pump, and see this purple fluid here?" "Yes," replied Tornado warily. "Well, this fluid is one of the major ones that run through our systems, not to mention he has a major infection." explained Wolf. "Oh, damn," said Tornado. "Can you repair him?" "Yes," said Wolf "But we need to get started right away." Saying this, Wolf screamed for First Aid. Skywolf knew First Aid could help after his job of repairing Midnight after Firefall attacked him.
      First Aid ran out of his office and asked Wolf what he wanted. Wolf then told him to get the heck over to him because Mid had been seriously injured. First Aid ran over and saw the puddle of Mid's 'blood' and some purplish fluid that was rapidly growing. He also saw that Mid was rapidly graying out and was now comatose. Steve was rushed in about this point. First Aid realized that Mid's pain had been transfered to Steve's side of the link. He pointed this out to Skywolf who swore in Ancient Sentinel and started to try to stabilize Midnight. After connecting Mid to an energon feed, Wolf realized that Mid had had a fuel pump arrest. "Ahh, No!!!" Wolf screamed as he saw Midnight's fuel pump quit. "Don't you DARE leave us!! Not now!!" Skywolf frantically started to try to revive his young leader. "Thirty seconds, one minute." said First Aid. He started to look worried. Finally there was a small blip on the monitor. "You got him. Not very strong, but you got him." said First Aid. Steve would scream everytime the link with his partner was cut. Dr. Scott was worried about Steve's condition. As bad off as the Sentinel leader and his partner were, only time would tell if the only 100% partnership in existence would cease to exist or live to tell the tale. Wolf revived him, but this occured two more times before Wolf decide to hook Midnight up to a Life Unit. "First Aid, go retrieve a Life Unit." said Skywolf hesitantly. "A Life Unit!?" screamed First Aid. "Do you know what that thing does!?" asked First Aid. "Yes, I know what that thing does, but Midnight's too badly injured to risk operating on him without it." "All right, I'll get it." said First Aid. Wolf was hesitant about the Life Unit because he didn't know what would happen after Mid was disconnected from the Unit. However, he figured, he would take that chance since Mid was so seriously injured, and Steve was living every bit of Midnight's pain.
 After Mid had been stabilized, Wolf and Aid wheeled him into one of the operating rooms. It was during the surgery, that Wolf realized he had been right. Not only had Mid's fuel pump and the the network center for the purple fluid been hit but the shrapnel from the bullets had pierced several of the nutrition tubes running through Midnight's skin. The shrapnel had even pierced the fuel pump on which a severe infection was now growing. After the surgery, Wolf made the decision that Mid would have to go into intensive care due to the injuries, loss of fluids and an infection due to loss of fluids at the wing site. Skywolf disconnected Midnight from the Life Unit. Wolf and Aid then wheeled him into one of the rooms of the intensive care unit for robots. The room, however, was also a quarantine room due to the infection.
 Steve was wheeled into a human version of Midnight's room. Him and his partner would be watched constantly over the next twenty-four hours. Midnight especially due to the large and severe infection on his fuel pump. It was growing despite Skywolf's attempts to control it. Skywolf had already tried two different treatments for the infection. Both times the infection had receeded a little then jumped right back to were it was.
 Skywolf let the other sentinels know about the sniper attack on Midnight. The Sentinel leader was currently in critical condition and fighting for his life due to a rather large infection on the fuel pump was what the report sent out to all sentinels and the autobot command team read.

 Wild Card and Tornado when they heard the operation was over, walked into Midnight's room. Wild Card could tell from the info on the digi-pad that his friend was comatose and fighting a severe infection which was located on the fuel pump. Wild Card decided to stick around due to Midnight's critical condition. Tornado told Wild Card that he felt guilty for not hearing the first shot and saving Midnight from the sniper attack. Wild Card told him that that was stupid, but Tornado decided to stick around anyway.
 Alicia, when she heard how bad the Sentinel leader was injured, grinned snarkily. She decided she would have some fun by tormenting the residents of Mainframe with a crime spree. She knew the Alliance was too worried about Midnight to bother looking for her right now anyway. She started off by killing four of the city's finest: Detective Kenshin Yu, Dectective Adam Fowler, Officer Yoshi Wing, and Officer Patrick Moriarty.
 Mayor Woodward let Optimus know about the murders that were taking place. She told him the killer would leave except a date, which was the date on which Midnight was attacked. Woodward knew the Sentinel leader was in a very critical condition due to the infection on his fuel pump. She let Counterstrike know about the attacks.
 Cyclonus and the other Counterstrike members were desperately trying to find Alicia Hunt. She would need to be put on trial for the attack on Midnight. Only time would tell, however, if it was a an attempted assassination or assassination trial.
 Skywolf decided to check on Midnight. He went into Mid's room to find Wild Card keeping a vigil on him. Skywolf scanned Midnight and found that the infection had grown. There was a knock at the door and Voodoo entered. "How is he?", asked Voodoo. "Not good," said Skywolf. "That infection has grown again." "Damn," said Voodoo. "Kyle says that Steve's now on life support." "Primus!!", said Skywolf. "If a treatment can't make that infection decrease so that Midnight can fight it off, then we might as well kiss this partnership goodbye." "But Midnight's only 3000 years old. He's young. It isn't fair." said Voodoo. "Life seldom is fair," said Skywolf. He looked at his young leader and sighed. If a treatment didn't work, then Midnight and Steve would wind up dying.
 Wild Card walked into Mid's room a minute later with an energon cube. Skywolf saw that Wild Card hadn't recharged in at least a week. Wild Card looked at the info Wolf was entering into Mid's digi-pad and moaned in sorrow. After Wolf left Wild Card took one of his friend's limp hands in his own and said "Come on, Midnight don't leave us. Not now. Hold on, please." Wild Card was so busy watching his comatose friend and leader that he didn't hear F/X enter the room. "How is he?" asked F/X. Wild Card jumped about a foot into the air."Don't sneak up on me like that!" said Wild Card. F/X just grinned.After shaking his head, Wild Card told F/X how Midnight was doing. F/X grew serious. He couldn't understand how an infection could kill Midnight after everything he had been through: the incident with Vector Sigma, the one with Firefall, the one with his own people when he had first Interfaced with Steve, the one with Ralyk, and now this.On his way out F/X whispered, "Hold on, kid. Don't give up." Wild Card watched him leave then lapsed into recharge mode.
 Alicia, meanwhile, had heard through the grapevines about the Sentinel leader's condition. She smirked to herself. Her mother would be very pleased. She had managed to do what her mother couldn't. She had wounded one of the Council to the point of death. She grinned snarkily as using a pseudonym she ordered a Dry Dog in The Oasis lounge in Strata. She toasted herself and her mother as she drained it.

 Dagger and Fang had just traveled back from Alean when they saw a worried Voodoo skulking about near Medbay. Fang transformed first and asked Voodoo what had happened since they had been gone. Voodoo told them about the sniper attack on Midnight by one Alicia Hunt. "What!!", screamed Dagger, "I thought she was in prison." "So did we." said Voodoo. "But she was set free on $250,000 bond by Carter." He then told Dagger and Fang about the infection on Midnight's chest which wasn't responding to any treatments Skywolf tried. Fang shook his head as Voodoo finished. Dagger winced in sympathy. He then decided that he would go check on Midnight.
 Dagger walked into Medbay and decided to seek out Skywolf. He found Wolf inside an Intensive Care room which was also a quarantine room. Posted on the door was a sign saying that the patient inside had a severe infection on his fuel pump. Dagger swallowed hard, and knocked on the door which was soon opened by Wolf. Dagger walked in slowly. The first thing his optics fell on was the limp and comatose form of Midnight on the medflat behind Wolf. Dagger asked Wolf how was he. Wolf replied that he had just tried a new treatment on Midnight's infection. The infection had reduced a little, but it was way too soon to tell if it would reduce enough for Mid to fight it off on his own. Dagger nodded and watched as Wolf left him alone. He then scooted a chair left by Wolf up to his comatose leader. He then spoke to Mid although he wasn't sure if he could hear him.
 "Well, Midnight, I wished I'd been here during that attack. I would have sacrificed my life for you do you know that?" said Dagger. "Well, I'm not sure you know this, but I respected you for idealistic thinking. You risked all to get us to be accepted by the Autobots and I respect you for that more then you'll ever know." So busy was Dagger confessing his respect that he didn't even notice when Wolf came in cause he had seen something change for the better in his leader. "Keep talking," said Wolf. Dagger was startled and turned around to Wolf in puzzlement. "He's somehow responding to you." explained Skywolf. Dagger turned back around to Midnight with an expression of hope in his optics. "Midnight?" whispered Dagger hopefully. He then grasped his leader's hand in his own. "If you can hear me," said Dagger, "squeeze my hand." Skywolf tilted his head in puzzlement. Just as it seemed there would be no reaction Dagger felt a slight squeeze. Dagger inhaled sharply.He and Skywolf looked to each other, smiling, then back to Midnight. Maybe there was hope for Mid after all.

 Alicia walked out of the Oasis Lounge with a full stomach and a drunken air. She reveled in the $2500 cash she received as a result of getting it on with some man. She couldn't remember his name. All she knew with the certainty of a fish on whether it would be eaten, was that his last name had been Wing. She got back in her car and no sooner had she gotten five blocks from the Oasis when she was involved in a three car wreck. She realized as she got out of her car that she had totally wrecked it. She found out at the hospital that all she had was a broken arm. She spent five year in jail on DUI and manslaughter charges. Luck was not on her side she mused as she sat in her cell. Mr. Taro Wing, the brother of slain Yoshi Wing, had alerted Counterstrike to the identity of the woman he had slept with which was one Alicia Hunt. Alicia, as she sat in her motel room now free, had no idea time was running out for her.
 Cyclonus cheered as he received this news from Mr. Wing. They could finally go after this woman who had dared to go after one of the Council. He wasn't surprised when he saw F/X come by and ask to be part of the force that would nab her. He could understand how the Sentinels were feeling. After all, their leader was still in critical condition, even if he had shown a scant bit of improvement. With permission of Kup he let F/X join the force.

 Jeff Winters had just woken from a sound sleep in his quarters. After cooking himself breakfast he made his way down to Medbay. He asked Kyle how Steve was doing. Kyle told Jeff that Steve was still comatose but he had shown scant improvement. Kyle then explained to Jeff what had happened with Dagger, how Midnight had squeezed his hand after Dagger had talked to him. Winters nodded to himself. Maybe now, he thought to himself, Steve will show an improvement. Dr. Scott had just decided to go back into Steve's room when Ashtar ran out shrieking joyfully.
 "Ashtar, What is it?" asked Kyle. "I.....I think Steve's responding to me." answered Ashtar.  "What!" screamed Kyle. He and Jeff together then ran into Steve Parker's room. "How did Steve respond to you?" asked Kyle when he, Ashtar and Jeff were back in Steve's room. "Well," said Ashtar "I asked him to squeeze my hand if he could hear me and he squeezed." Kyle and Jeff looked to each other realizing that Steve's case might not be as lost as they thought.

 Alicia when she woke up, decided to go to the Mom and Pop's restaurant that she had passed on her way to the hotel yesterday. She went inside and ordered her breakfast which was a cheese omelette with buttered toast. After eating her breakfast, she walked to the hotel, showered, and changed clothes. She then decided to go out and create some more havoc. She killed five people with the sniper gun she hadn't gotten rid of after attacking Midnight. In the midst of attacking a man with a baby, she felt a hand on her shoulder. She whirled around only to come face to face with Mr. Wing, the man she had met yesterday. "Uh, What do you want?" said Alicia nervously. "What do I want?, What do I Want!?" said Mr. Wing. "I want to make sure you pay for the crime of killing my brother and attacking the Sentinel leader. That's all I want." Mr. Wing then whistled sharply. Alicia watched in horror as the Counterstrike team quickly surrounded her. She looked up to the face of the one to right of her and saw that his blue optics were growing angrily. "What is your name?" she asked conversationally. "My name is F/X." said the robot to the right of her. "But what do you care what my name is!? You sure as hell didn't even bother to make sure that my leader had even bothered your mother before you shot him! Did You!!?? You will stand trial here on Cybertron for your crimes, and you'll the death penalty of lethal injection if convicted, which I'm sure you will be." Alicia sighed to herself as the angry Sentinel finished speaking. She had failed again.

 Skywolf went into Midnight's room and saw that Mid's optics were flickering weakly. "Midnight?" whispered Skywolf hopefully. He watched as the optics then started glowing weakly. "Midnight?" whispered Skywolf again. His second whisper woke Wild Card who was in recharge mode in one of the two chairs Wolf had left in the room. "What's going on,?" said Wild Card. "I think he's waking up." said Wolf. "Midnight?" they whispered together now. "Sk......Sky.....Skywolf?" said Midnight weakly. "Thank Primus." said Skywolf. "You're awake." "Wh.......What......ha.......happened?" asked Midnight weakly. Skywolf then explained to him about the sniper attack, and about the capture of Alicia. "Hey, pal." said Wild Card. "W.....Wi.....Wild.......Ca......Card?" said Midnight weakly. "Yeah, it's me." said Wild Card. "Thank Primus, you're awake. I thought we lost you." Skywolf then received a paging that told him that Steve had awoken the same moment Midnight had. <<St.....St....Steve. Are y....you all....r...ri....right>> whispered Midnight weakly in Steve's mind. <<I'm all ri....right. Wh....what about you?>> answered Steve. <<I'm......ve.....very....we......weak......but ......I .....sh.....should ....be.....f.....fine.>>answered Midnight weakly. <<Then I'll le....let you....r....rest>> Steve 'told' his partner. <<F.....fi.....fine.>>agreed Mid weakly. "It's no wonder you feel so weak, what with the loss of your skin fluids, energon, and that infection." said Skywolf. "What I want you to do." said Skywolf "is to recharge here. Let your energon and skin fluids be replaced. After that's happened maybe we can get you out of here." "I a....agr......agree. D.....Did an.......any.....anything.......ha......happen to ......R........Rod.....Rodimus or......O......Op.......Optimus?" Midnight weakly questioned. "No, they're fine. Rodimus, however, has been really worried about you. Why don't you get some recharge now?" said Skywolf. Midnight nodded weakly in agreement then went into recharge mode. Once Skywolf had left his leader's room, he breathed a deep sigh of relief, and let the other Sentinels and the Autobot command team know Midnight was awake.
 In his office, Rodimus howled in delight. "He's awake!!?," he asked. Skywolf chuckled at the younger Prime's reaction. "Yes, he's awake, but he's very weak." "Oh." said Rodimus. "Could I use Shan to talk to Midnight?" "Yes," replied Skywolf. "But wait until tomorrow. He's in recharge mode now." "Okay." replied Rodimus. He let Shan know of his plan. Shan agreed to question the weakened Midnight for her partner and Optimus.

 Shanygn entered Med Bay and found Skywolf inside an Intensive Care room, scanning an awake Midnight. She knocked and then entered the room. "Good Morning, Skywolf." she called to the Sentinel medic. Skywolf looked down in puzzlement, and finally saw Shan waving to him from the floor. "Well, hello Shan." greeted Skywolf. "I'm done for now, but I'll be back in the afternoon to check on you again." Midnight nodded weakly. Shan watched Wolf leave and then she turned to Midnight. "Well, hello. You had Rodimus worried. Hell you had us all worried. At least you're alive." Shan greeted him. "Wh.....Why are......you......he....here?" Midnight weakly questioned. Shan winced at the weak tone in Mid's voice. "Rodimus and Optimus want to talk to you through me since they can't be here personally here due to the matrix energy." Shan explained. "A h," replied Mid. He al........also.........said......th.....that he......wou......would sa......sac.....sacrifice his li....life.....for.....mi...mine." explained Midnight weakly. Shan sent Mid's reply back to her partner. <<Optimus said he wants to know if Wolf said anything about when Midnight might get out of Medbay. We have only one more question each.>> Rodimus sent. Shan asked Midnight who responded that Wolf said once he gets his energon, and skin fluid levels back up. <<Tell Midnight we finally captured Alicia>> sent Rodimus. Shan relayed what Rodimus said to Mid who weakly nodded. <<Optimus says to tell Midnight to take it easy, and that he and myself will talk to him once he's out of medbay and regained his strength.>> sent Rodimus. "Optimus told my partner who told me to tell you to take it easy, and that they'll talk with you once you've regained your strength back." said Shanygn. "I ag....agree. I'm ti.....tired. My cir......circuits are....screa......screaming at me to get......so.....some re......recharge." Midnight paused. "Te......Tell Ro.....Rod......Rodimus and Op......Optimus not to wor.....worry. I......I'll be fi......fine." replied Midnight weakly. Shan sent his reply back to her partner. "Well, then I'll let you get some recharge. Just take it easy, ok?"said Shan. Midnight nodded weakly. Once Shan was outside his room, Midnight let himself fall into recharge mode. Once outside Midnight's room Shan watched the Sentinel leader go into recharge, and then she left Med Bay. In his office, Rodimus smiled in relief, and knew that his friend would be just fine.

 Several days had passed since Midnight had come out of his coma and conversed with Rodimus. Skywolf went into Mid's room to find him awake and lying back. "Are you ready to get out of here?" asked Skywolf. "Re...ready as I'll ev....ever be" said Midnight. Skywolf noted with pleasure that Midnight no longer sounded as weak. Skywolf then helped Midnight to sit up letting his legs dangle over the side of the bed.  he then helped him to stand up and watched as Mid's knees buckled. Mid finally fell forward into Wolf's arms. 'Woah," said Wolf. "Evidently you're not quite that strong yet, but try again." Wolf watched as this time Mid's knees buckled but he was finally able to stand upright. Wolf noted however that Midnight's skin was a dark grey, not the ususal rich black. "When you get to your quarters, rest and recharge. Get your strength back up. Wild Card will take over while you recover." said Skywolf. Midnight nodded and slowly made his way toward his quarters. He had to stop every once in a while because he was still a bit weak but he made it. Midnight upon entering his quarters set the controls on his recharging flat. He lay down on it and was in recharge mode a scant two minutes later.
 Alicia was found guilty on all thirteen counts of murder, and one count of attempted assassination of the Sentinel leader. Optimus Prime sentenced to death by lethal injection. The lethal injection was given by Dr. Scott, which was twelve cc's of Sodium Chloride. She died three minutes later. Carter stood trial for helping Alicia. He was found guilty and spent five years in prison before escaping. He fled to Coney Island upon escaping.
 Midnight and his partner recovered, though it took them awhile to do so. Security in West Central was strengthened. From now on, everyone entering West Central would be searched. The sentinels were now a lot more careful. They hired Fang to act as bodyguard to Midnight until he recovered. Everything soon became peaceful again on Cybertron.
