As the year 2006 draws to a close, so does the current layout and general structure of this site (not that anyone would notice or actually give a shit). The latest batch of jokes being sent out én masse are also the last (text) jokes having been sent out. The stoic, structured, numbered, and dated (ambiguity intended) layout will be replaced by the more fluid structure of a blog that suits my personal taste, current style, and future projects.

As a matter of fact, the change will be a huge sigh of relief.

Sure, the site will still be worth visiting. There'll be jokes, humour, entertainment and virals aplenty - albeit in a very different form. Being the nostalgic archivist that I am, the existing content will remain - but presented in a different manner. Changes will be either gradual or drastic, I've no idea at the moment. Interactivity will be a key feature, and learning new techniques and technology a new challenge on my part. We'll see how and when it goes. So there!

Sourzzzz, yes!

And on a recent trip to Stuttgart, we just had to stop for this pic of what is clearly not an Afrikaans-owned restaurant!

A recent hard drive crash has resulted in the loss of most pending jokes and other future collections. This, combined with a change of personal interests, has become a bit of marker for a significant change in purpose, function, layout, and content of this site that will take place over the next few months or so.
Fear not, for entertaining and certainly worth repeated visits it will remain!

Watch this space for details!

Just adding new material... and we've had visitors from the Cook Islands! Sometime soon this site will also be redesigned to more resemble a blog.

Spent the last two weeks or so cruising through parts of western Europe. Humanclock.com bears much of the evidence of recent activities...

If anyone's noticed that things around these parts have been kinda slow... GOOD! At least somebody's noticed! Other than that, I've been (and still am) keeping myself very occupied here. Check it out...

Now that's a relief then! Ah, statistics: Aren't they just interesting... While muslims the world over are going ballistic over a dozen badly-drawn and generally not particularly funny cartoons (as far as humour goes) that it seems they have taken four months to misunderstand their point of, this site has lately taken quite a few hits from a company known as "Payam Resaneh Isfahan Research Investigation", originating in a certain state currently very much on the watchlist of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

And how did they get here? By searching for images of PUSSY, no less!

Should I put my old Jesus cartoon up again?

Along the same hypocritical lines, it never ceases to amaze how one of my other experimental sites (containing nothing but naughty text stories) is being targeted by primarily visitors from countries with outdated and draconian moral standards: A third of visitors are from the USA - but then there are the 5.9% from the United Arab Emirates, 2.5% from Iran and Saudi Arabia with its 2.3% take their places in the top 10. Believe me when I say to you that these are huge percentages where these countries are concerned, considering that far busier sites with far more wholesome (read: clean) content are drawing way less visitors from the Arab world. Something's rotten with the state of Islam.

Herewith the latest changes: The site's been brought into the new year. The "images of the moment" page has been updated. The most recent articles (2006 - thus far) are up. Them rednecks have been updated. The ancient collections dating back to 1995 have been trashed. Some existing jokes have been updated. Some German-language jokes have been gotten rid of. Dubya remains president of the USA. Nobody has delivered Osama's head yet, and a lot of muslims have gone apeshit.

If this site seems somewhat neglected lately, there are actually other projects to attend to... life happens when you're busy making other plans.

Returned from South Africa a scant few hours ago and managed to get a bunch of snapshots of other cool t-shirts, all of which will at some point be featured in their own permanent area. For now they can be previewed here and here. And why is this page starting to look like a blog?

From animals, via kids, through to dating, and currently marriage... can you spot a pattern here? Can you guess what the next theme is? Do you actually care? Does anybody give a shit? Is anybody actually reading this? Is there anybody out there? For those of you that are, my fellow observant fans, there's some new stuff strewn around the site. So there.

As if it weren't obvious, July is "animal month"... jokes and stories about them critters that also populate the planet and make up a staple part of our diet. And, in case you're visually impaired, the crappy layout is no more: it's been replaced by one that's less shitty, showcasing my ever-progressing skills in site design and improvements in humility. So, what does the future hold for the HMVH Corporation BBS Online (as we've taken to calling ourselves again)?
a) We've created ourselves a GoogleGroup.
b) The site will move over to a new, commercial host, allowing lots of space and bandwidth for all the added features and assorted rubbish you have and will come to expect from this site and its SysOp ;)
c) It'll invariably take the form of a Blog, for reasons of practicality.
d) Some of its sub-sections (or mini-sites, if you will) will include some of the smut and other nonsense that featured on the old DOS-based BBS. That ought to be fun!
Now go away, leave me be. I got shit to do...
