Front and reverse bears a oval lilac postal control cancel for München . The front also has a two line boxed, "Geprüft und freigegeben" lilac cancel. These show that the contents were examined before being sent and everything was found to meet the postal regulations. Zurich arrival cancel also on reverse with arrival date of 23.11.23.

The stamps used show the two different types of printing known, Flat Plate and Rotary. These can be easily identified by examining the upper sheet margins still attached. The 5/10 is Plate and 10/20 Rotary. Rotary printings always show vertical bars in the upper margins. The Flat Plate printings exist in three types, "A" , "B" and "C" The Rotary upper margins also show two different types, "0/6/0 and 1/5/1" . These figures refer to the number of short and long lines .

The 5/10 Plate upper margin is of the type known as Type C. That being the original counter numbers having a thin line below them. The Type C upper margin used is very rare and on cover extremely so.

Very rarely do any of the OPD issues upper margins exist used on cover. Officially these upper margins should have been removed by the postal clerks. The combination of three different upper margins and a heavy weight correctly rated cover make this possibly a unique piece of postal history."
