CV since school..... I left school with 16, after 11th grade. Being fed up with school! I went to the London College of Furniture, then did a few c.omputer c.ourses, worked in Scottland at BP and came back to Hamburg. After working as a secretary for a couple of years, I opened up a shop restoring antique furniture. I did this for 3 years. It was fun but didn't bring in all the money I had hoped for! Not learning my lesson, I opened up a shop for second hand English books here in Hamburg. Great fun - got to know lots of people - I could even take my children into the shop. (which was good at the time, but thinking back on it - going back to work a couple of weeks after childbirth - it wasn't too easy for us all...). 10 months after having my second child (Maurice) I decided to change jobs, work less and so I started working part time. What bliss only to work 20 hours a week without havíng to cope with the kids having temper-tantrums whilst customers were in the shop!Anyway, I worked for a couple of companies, ending up at architects and townplanners - and being fairly good at computing, I learnt CAD (computer aided design) and helped the architects to learn the programme. I enjoyed that but decided, after 7 years, to move on. I'm now working for a company which makes educational videos and dvds. I do their graphical work for the dvds, drawing lots of pictures - what fun ! - and take care of their website, putting in pages at need and take care of their database. I guess in terms education, I'm a self made person, and seem to be very lucky at getting the jobs I really want to. I still have lots of contact to Lisa Gavin (now Meakin), Andrea Dashfield and every now and then I get to see Corinne. Funny how one lapses back to being giggling school-girls - near enough wetting ourselves the whole time!! Every now and then I get a short email from Lucinda (now Rees) and have met up with Lenard a couple of times. Lenard and I both being the only ones who have stayed faithful to Hamburg! I wouldn't want to live anywhere else!! I live in Hamburg-Ottensen, the part of town where 'live and let live - and enjoy' really works! It's like a village within Hamburg and you can't go anywhere without bumping into someone you know. Lots of cafés and pubs, the streets are never empty. All in all, you should have all stayed in Hamburg! (despite the rain)
