Eventually my N. maxima decided it was the right time to begin to climb and left my terrarium. My living room is only two and a half meters high, so it did reach the ceiling a few months after this decision. Now its time to prune it back! But just to make it harder for me it eventually started producing nice pitchers outside the terrarium...

In the middle of the picture you see the lower part of the plant with a basal offshot producing adult sized pitchers after only four leaves. The pitcher behind the lower one at the right side of the picture is an old upper one from the climbing stem.
One of the nice pitchers just outside the terrarium. The N. gymnamphora in the background didn't get the trick :-)
Another nice one. The total size of this pitcher is about 16cm.
