Nepenthes pilosa


This N. pilosa is still small, but much of the typical characteristics already can be seen. The pitchers lack any red pigmentation on their outside and the plant is covered by very long hairs. The picture below shows the tendril with these extra-long hairs. N. pilosa occurs in shady places and therefore also likes to grow in a less brighter place. Growth pattern is typical highland and so the plant produces a new leaf and pitcher about every two months.


Update May 2004/ January 2005:


The pitchers of N. pilosa are much larger now, but the plant still is in its rosette growing stage.
