Cordially welcome on the homepage of Joerg Folwarczny

If you landed coincidentally here, you surely just ask yourself,
how one probably expresses this name!
I found a quite interesting description to the expression by searching
the web. The author, a name cousin and student from the USA is
not related to me, as far as i know.

My family is living in Germany since 1945.
I am living in a town named Bayreuth in Germany/Europe.
If you have Google Earth installed, you can take a look at
Bayreuth.
I have also marked the other locations which members of my family with
name Folwarczny are living at.

The surname Folwarczny originates from Poland/Europe.
Thanks to Radek Folwarczny (born in Czechoslovakia, now living in Australia) who knew some
interesting details about the origin of the name "Folwarczny":
The name derives from the old polish word "folwark". You can read more about folwark at wikipedia.
So, an folwar-czny is someone who deals with folwark or even a folwark manager.
In Chechia and perhaps Poland folwarczn-y is only for men. The corresponding name for a woman is
folwarczn-a. You can find some entries about folwarczna in wikipedia, but only in polish (i can't read).

If you search for folwarczny in www you find a lot of entries from Poland and Germany, but i think this is only the tip of the iceberg. Because if you search it in phone book you can find 30 entries only in Germany, from which only 8 are from members of my family. You can find 26 entries in US whitepages and there are links to other countries whitepages.
I estimate there are at least 1000 Folwarczny all over the world, but many of them can't be found in www or whitepages.

In Poland there are streets named folwarczna in many towns and you can even buy Folwarczny Ketchup, Folwarczny mustard and Folwarczny mayonnaise.
Folwarczny Ketchup

Beside a whole set of problems one can gain with this name in Germany,
there are also positive sides from this name. If anybody meets strange humans, who carry the same
surename, then she or he is either somehow related, or has at least a quantity maintenance material.
(e.g. 1987 I met a Folwarczny at German Army who was unknown to me)

So if you carry this name or know someone who is called in such a way, I would be very pleased about a email or a entry in my guestbook!
Also I'd like to link more homepages of other Folwarczny here:
