The history of David Trezeguet began when Jean Albert Trezeguet, David’s grandfather, left France to find luck in Argentina. There he became a job and he got 2 sons. Prospero, one of them, went to Buenos Aires, the other son came 1951. His name is Jorge and is David’s father. Like his son later, Jorge played soccer very well. Jorge bacame a contract from Rouen in France! He traveled there with his new wife Beatriz, a Argentine.
1977 David was born...
2 years later the contract of Jorge expires and so the whole family went back to Buenos Aires in Argentina, where Jorge played soccer and David grew up. David was very interested in soccer. He followed the games of his father and played every afternoon with his friends...He loved scoring goals! With relations of his mother Beatriz he played in Platense sein Glück, what was very difficult at the beginning.
1995 AS Monaco discovered David. So he went back to France, but it was very difficult because he traveled without his family. His family then came at the end of the year. David could have tried his fortune in Paris Saint Germain because of some relations of Jorge, but David decided to play in Monaco. There he found a very young team with some promising players. In his team was Thierry Henry, who is one David's best friend and one of the best striker in the world. But David had some problems with his former coach Tigana; but after the victories with his team, there weren't any more thoughts of leaving Monaco. During that time he decided to be a France and not a Argentine and so he began to play in the U 18 in France. In his first friendly game he scored 2 beautiful goals...
His career grew and grew. His first title was 1996 with the U 18, where the team celebrated the European Championchip.1997/98 the duo Henry/Trezeguet was unbeatable. David scored 18 goals in 27 games and in the CL 4 in 9 games. Monaco came in the semi-final, but Juventus stopped them. 1998 he won the World Championchipwith France!! He played every game without the final, which was a little negative point that time. In the following years scoring goals went on. First he scored 12 goals and then sensational 22 goals in only 20 games!!! With Monaco he won the French Championschip. Then Trezeguet's biggest time came. The Euro 2000 in the Netherlands and Belgium. In the final David came on the pitch and scored the GOLDEN GOAL which made France to the European Champions! At this time everybody knew that David's new club would be Juventus Turin in Italy. The beginning was very difficult for him because he had a strong competition with Del Piero, Inzaghi and Kovacevic. Then he also got injured this season, so he could show his talent only some games, where he scored some goals. But the next year was with more success. David played every time, because Inzaghi and Kovacevic left Juve. Trezeguet scored Juve to the Scudetto with 24 goals. So he got also the trophie as topscorer in the Serie A.
David defend the Scudetto with Juve and in 17 games he scored 9 goals, but he had problems with his ankle again. In the CL Juventus came into the final but David failed a penalty in the penalty shoot-out and so Juve lost the game against Milan!
Now Trezeguet is very important for the "Old Lady" Juventus and for his nationalteam, where he scores many goals!!
