Black Hawk Down | Blow Dry | Cracker | Debutante | Faculty | 40 Days... | H20 | Here On Earth | Member | O | Pearl Harbor | Town And County | Virgin Suicides
The Faculty is my fave film of all time!

I remember the first day I saw the Faculty. It was one day in the summer of 1999 and me and my sister had gone to the video shop. I remember her picking it up and asking if I wanted to see it. I saw one look at Josh Hartnett on the front cover and we choose it. I sat there with my popcorn in my living room enthralled.
The film was a brilliant combination of romance (I loved how all the characters joined up with the ones they were in love with at the end. I was so happy Zeke didn't have a girlfriend at the end, keeping him open for me!)
The film was genre horror/sci-fi. The horror parts were quite bloody, sudden and startling and I loved how they would just spring the surprises upon the viewers when we were least expecting it! i.e When Casey was eating his sandwiches on the football field and the Coach suddenly popped up behind him!
The sci-fi parts were the whole subjects of aliens. I liked when Stokely and Casey were in the library discussing the possibility of the world being full of aliens. Also it was a great idea to relate to other films like ET and Indepence Day coz they help us understand even more what it must have been like for Casey and the gang.
There was obvious humour in it, especially the lovely hate-hate relationship between Stokely and Delilah! Their bitchy little comments made the film realistic, because everyone has an enemy and Stokely almost got to shoot hers!
My favourite character was Casey because he was so shy, sweet and sensitive and you always felt safe with him because you knew Casey would never die. He is also incredibly clever, his idea at the end to trap the monster was classic! I don't like that Casey hooked up with Delilah, all through the film she was shallow, insensitive and nasty to him, so why do they pair them up at the end? She is the total opposite of Casey and quite obviously doesn't deserve him.
My next favourite character is Zeke. Not only is he stunningly gorgeous, his character was the typical "bad boy" that everyone loves. And bad boys are always sexy, right? I love that even though he didn't try hard, he was clever and found the cure of killing aliens. Who would think drugs could save the day? Another thing I love with him and Miss Berk. Her starring part was when she kicked his ass-verbally. And at the end they were friends.........ahh! She was so adorably cute.
The rest of my favourites go in this order: Stokely coz she is just like the inner-bitch inside me and her character is the insecurities of every teenage girl rolled into one. She's a brilliant, sarcastic and clever charcter and a sure sign that looks aren't everything and although in the film she was quite greasy-haired and spotty, in real life she was good enough to date Josh Hartnett (As was pretty-face Delilah-cow!)
Then Stan. He was a brilliant charcter cause he wanted to learn, wanted to be clever. He was kind, down-to-earth with a solid head on his shoulders. Him and Stokely were the perfect couple! <3 (Turn your head to the right)
If you want romance, excitement and comedy, rent or buy the faculty today!
