Postcard
This card was written by Walter H. form Canada in 1940 to a friend or relative in Brooklyn/Mass., USA. The card contains the "prisoner of war" stamp but I think that this man is a civil internee.

Dear Fritz! I expect it will be a great surprise for you all when I tell you that I have arrived in East-Canada a week ago. I am here with several others in a camp and I am very well indeed. We are considered here in Canada as Prisoners of War, category B. I hope that my brothers are well in school and that you are well too. I wrote already to my grandfather. I hope that the day will come when I can emigrate to U.S.A. But I think that it will take a long time. But don't worry about me. Best greetings to all yours Walter H.
