Camp Phillips
This is the verbatim of an article from the Kirksville Missouri Daily Express dated September 5, 1944:

"2 Nazis Escape from Salina Prison Camp
Kansas City, MO, Sept 5 (UP) Federal Bureau of Investigation officials here today announced that two German prisoners of war escaped from Camp Phillips, near Salina Kan., late yesterday. Officials said no trace of the men had been found. The two were Wilhelm Filv, 26, described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 143 pounds, and Kurt Zerbe, 23, described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 163 pounds. Both men were wearing German uniforms or fatigue suits with the letters P.W. on them, according to reports."
