Fort Campbell
Originally, the cemetery was located near the intersection of Lee Road and Ohio Avenue, but was moved to its present location on Clarksville Base in 1947. In a 54 by 86-foot plot south of Mabry Road in the vicinity of the intersection of Woodlawn and Mabry Road, five headstones mark the graves of the following men:

Eugene Ulrich, Obergefreiter (Corporal), died 3 December 19 44
Kurt Franke, Obergefreiter (Corporal), died 1 January 1945
Herbert Lindnep, Gefreiter (Lance Corporal), died 11 January 45
Josef Reidinger, Gefreiter (Lance Corporal), died 22 January 45.
Guenter Cassens, Soldat (Soldier Private), died 15 September 45

These soldiers would not go unremembered when on 18 November 1963, COL (Ret) Alfred J. Jenniger, former prisoner of war and Colonel in the West Germany Army, came to honor these soldiers while on a visit to the United States. In a small ceremony Jenniger laid a wreath in their memory saying, "Never again they fight as enemies."

The Clarksville Edelweiss Club Decorates the POW cemetery on the 1st of November every year and conducts a service for the POW'S with a U.S.Army Kaplan.
