The English April 6th database dump of Wikipedia seems to contain a syntax error which causes wiki2staticz.pl to try to read the whole file into memory while searching (and not finding) the end of a record. This will prevent any progress after some time in the first stage.
Current workaround is to only use the March dump (or earlier). I'll have a look when I've got time.

Only 1 ½ year after 0.9 there is now the next version of wiki2zaurus. Changes:
All configuration now happens in wiki2staticz.pl, no more editing (or even creating) several files. Wiki2staticz.pl will create the required adapted scripts on its own.
Integrated changes from Alfio's original since last time (up to 0.62)
Extended usage of in-line HTML instead of GIFs for TeX math (also include into the TexCache to speed things up)
On-line (but asynchronous) compression of downloaded pictures (to keep the size of the media directory manageable if required)
But also: Image cache to keep image download times manageable (IMHO more a problem than 10GB of HD space)
Directory depth for article directories now variable (use e.g. 3 for German and 4 for English Wikipedia)
Templates work now (and can be selectively ignored/excluded)
Links within links work (for image captions)
Javascript-less searching
Fixed some other bugs (either mine or Alfio's)
It is really not recommended to use 0.9 anymore since it is neither capable of handling the several changes to the wikipedia syntax nor the increased amount of data now in the wikipedia.
