Grand Theft Impro (GTI)

Grand Theft Impro features the trailblazing comedians of improv in Vancouver! The show is a fast paced, improv sketch show that uses audience suggestions to create 90 minutes of stories, scenes, songs and general comedic chaos.

GTI is a guaranteed laugh and an opportunity to see some of Vancouver’s funniest and most experienced improvising actors. See stars like Jay Brazeau, Richard Side, Veena Sood, Alan Marriott, Ian Forsyth, Ian Boothby, Mike Black, David C Jones, Jeff Gladstone and many others. GTI is a show for the whole family too, at a convenient time and with our special two-for-one offers it won’t break the bank!

It seemed a shame to expert improviser, Alan Marriott, that so many great improvising actors from the past, performers who went on to become stars in their own right, should be living in the ‘greatest place on earth’ and not regularly improvising anymore! An idea: why not create a show where these pros could just cut loose in a fun, celebration of the kind of comedy they love best and invite an audience to come and join the party.

Alan Marriott says: “The results have been amazing. We often forget that Vancouver is one the original centres for improv and full of 3 decades worth of really great players. I laugh my head off every time we play.”
