Studio

Alan's home studio is centered around a Pro Tools LE set up on a dual-monitor Mac G5 with a Digidesign 002 as an input/output box (with eight ins, eight outs).

Audio either runs directly into the Digi 002 or using a Mackie VLZ 1202.

Vocals

Alan uses a Neuman U87 set up in a small, acoustically dead vocal booth as his main vocal microphone. His other mics include: Two Sure SM58s, an Sm57, two Oktava 219s, an AKG D112 and a couple of Akai ADM 60s.

He uses a TL Audio single channel, tube mic pre-amp and two guitar amps (a 60 watt Fender FM 210 and a 15 watt Peveay practice amp)
