VMU File Download Instructions.

There are two alternative ways to download the VMU files to your Dreamcast:

1. Directly using the Dreamcast Browser "PlanetWeb" (or here).

When using this browser, just click on a .VMI-file and the browser will prompt you to choose a memory card to save the file to.
Actually, the .VMI file only contains meta information, the actual data is in the corresponding .VMS file. The browser handles this for you.

Unfortunately, the European DreamKey-Browser doesn't support this download feature, not even in the 3.0 version.

2. Using a PC and a Nexus-type memory card.

Download the .DCI file to your PC, then use the link cable and software of the memory card to transfer the file to the Dreamcast. Using the DoublePower appliance (made by Hongkong-based company EMS, the same manufacturer as the Nexus cards), you can even transfer directly to standard Sega brand VMUs.
