| Vampire - The Masquerade is a
complex role-playing game created by White Wolf
Inc. The Vampire society is seperated into several clans. Boared by the lenghth of their existence, the vampires find pleasure in intriguing and fighting each other. There are two main-sects: The Camarilla and the Sabbat. The Camarilla was founded to enforce the Masquerade into the Vampire´s society. This means that the vampires live among humans and hide their true self. In contrary the Sabbat is brutal and unscrupulous and fights open against mankind. There are also some independet clans who do not belong to any of the sects and run their own buisiness. There is a fourth smaller group called the Inconnu. The Inconnu live retired from the quarrels and intrigues of the other vampires. They are very old and they wait for the last great apocalyptic war- the Djihad.
