Image Indexer

This isn't a KDE Application but just a simple Perl Script.

It uses Gimp. Make sure you've got the Gimp-Perl-Modul installed as well.

Since one of my hobbies is photography I accumulated quite a few pictures worth showing others over the years. Not living in my home country I wanted to keep my family and friends up to date with what's going on here as well.
Believing in the Netiquette, I didn't want to impose huge e-mails on friends of mine and prefer to put the pictures on the web. To prevent long downloads of web-pages cluttered with pictures, I wanted an index page from which my friends could choose which pictures they want to look at.
Being a Computer Scientist I did of course want to automate the process of generating thumbnails.
Along the way I also learnt how to use Perl-Gimp.

Feel free to use it! You can fetch it from my download-page.

I got some ideas which I want to implement when I've got the time.
Feel free to modify it or to improve it and drop me a line if you did the latter.
