For the project »Ylikjerrokset« 8 artists were invited to organize guided city tour somewhere in Helsinki. Frank Luesing and me organized a golf competition in Pasila - a part of Helsinki dominated by multiple levels, pedestrian bridges and concrete gardens. Pasila ist symptomatic for a rigourous architecture made on the drawing table; trying to create large, monolithic, multifunctional ensembles in the early 70s. Unfortunately the architects of that great vision had to destroy a nice old part of the town.
For our city tour we developed a 9 hole golf course. It was necessary to play through typical architectural situations. The measuring and calculating view of the golfplayer allowed a different perspective on the architecture of Pasila. Three teams played against each other. The winning team »Team 3« recieved free drinks in the local restaurant »Van Gogh«.
