The publication is based on a slideshow / lecture held on occassion of the presentation of Wolfgang Mueller’s german-icelandic blue tit book in Reykjavik. The lecture was dealing with the specialities of the icelandic architecture, with focus on the inner city of Reykjavik. It was inspired by Robert Smithson's lecture about the Hotel Palenque.
The obvious and repetitous use of elements like stone settings, solitary tree plantings and patterns of concrete plates in the cityspace of Reykjavik were considered.
