The Story
about us, “People of Liberty”
Update: May, 4th, 2004
Yep, another 2 years have passed, so yet another update.
Meanwhile we have got many new members (and some went out...) and some nice new releases. Next to "Scene World" magazine issues. For example "Another World" which is a graphics collection by JSL, "All (B)ears" at the
Back in Time Live (in Brighton) by Yogibear, Richard's´ Forever 2003 Music Compo entry (which got released under some of his other groups as well) called "Drinkin' Bud Light", CBMHardware's "Magic Serpent 4 CMD" release and last but not least our music collections "World Music #1" and "World Music #2" which got shipped together with "Scene World #10" including a special Valentine's Day present and some "Hokuto Force" releases.
Update: February, 25th, 2002
Well, many things changed the last one and a half year (since the last
update of our history)! Meanwhile, Diabolo and Silver Fox, the two founder of
"P.o.L." are away forever (means they left C64 scene!). Also, we had many up
and downs! Anyway, there are some very active member left, so we were able to
continue to release our NTSC & PAL diskette magazine "Scene
World" due a re-organisation of the crew which is responsable for the mag!
Also, we want to thank all who supported our ideas and us!
Surely, second half of year 2001 wasn't that great for us, but we still kept
ruleing! :)
At the moment, we are just releasing "Scene World" mag, nothing more, nothing
less. Anyway, so I personally (Nafcom) think; It's a good thing to release a
new mag for NTSC & PAL scene, so I hope that it worths the energy and that our
mag will be there for a while!
Next to that, new member are always welcome and they should be active (have
a look at our member list). Let's have a look at the things which will happen!
Er...by the way: P.o.L. is now 3 years old!
So wait until next update or even better: Have a look at our NTSC & PAL diskette
magazine:
"Scene World" - A World Of Scene!

O ur group was founded by two guys, Marcus Hinzmann as Lost Brain (today Silver
Fox) and Sascha Klemmstein as Diablo (today Diabolo) in February 1999.
The members were: Hammerman, Lost Brain, Diabolo, Fuchs and Punica...
I've joined just only some days after... and after a while Snoopy, too :-)
At first time, we named us “Power of
Lamers”. Our first release was at this time the
second issue of the German basic-discmag, “PulP”. (Lost Brain had got the idea
and released it under his pseudo first.)
But suddenly, Lost Brain lost his motivation and left his own group (He was
the leader!), this was in the middle of 1999. This was the reason, why “P.o.L.”
got inactive and the danger was great that “P.o.L.” could die, because of this!
(A group without someone who organise some things, is nothing! )
So, the time passes and in November 1999 I, Nafcom got the leader.
And in December, the idea of the “Nfm’s spreaddisk” was born...
(Thanx to Winni/Tiger-Crew for this great idea. ;-])
In Dezember 1999, Tim Traveller, Megatron and Satyr joined
(But Satyr left us because of some problems with is future and social live,
later...) .
In March, Mr. Tec joined and in May Wormaus!
In June, Diabolo got leader too, because it’s hard to organise all things alone,
so Diabolo asked to get leader and want to give me a hand...
In April, Tadpole joined and left us later in June...
In May, our only composer, Psychodad joinded us... (As a grafx-man, too!)
In March we changed our long name into “People of Liberty”,
this name was idea of Satyr! (Thanx for this! :-) )
And so now (June 2000), we are 10 Members and we are trying to make something
new and different in both C64-scene, the NTSC and PAL one!
We got many support from many groups like: Hokuto Force, Tide, Anubis, Civitas,
Satovia, Axelerate, Lasser, Telenova, The Stock, Occult, Role and Spiders-Crew!
(Hope you will stay alive and help us in future, too! Hope some more will follow!
)
You can read all info about our further projects on this homepage, read in our
mag’s and you may ask one of us!
SO DO IT, PLEASE ;-])
That’s all for now!
