Silesia- region of heavy and smoky industry, poisoning soil and historical changes, was a good nest of metal music. In the year 1985 Heintich Damian Beck, a very young vocalist with huge ambitions, desided to found a band with proffesional aims. For the collaboration he invited young top musicians from the local bands. One of them was and still is untill today, guitar player and composer Christoph Blaszak. Durning the next three years DAMA PIK (it was the first name of the band, later shortened into PIK) have played a large numbers of live shows. As well they were presented on radio and TV, mainly on the silesian territory, where the band was wellknow. In the end of year 1987 the band began the preparations for the production of thier debut album. Unfortunatly it was canceled and in the begining of 1988 mastermind Heinrich D. Beck decided to move to Germany. The band split up.
As the years passed by, the members met on various occasions, but it was not untill Christoph Blaszak guested on stage during a Heinrich project performance, that the two realized that the synergy effect between them still was somewhat magic. The band reformed as PIK and in 1996 they launched thier Mysterious Stones demo tape, with great responses to thier well produced gloomy doom metal material. As well PIK played  several shows. One of them was on the Metalmania Festival 97 in Katowice, here PIK played with bands like Tiamat, Samael, The Gathering.................in front of more then 5000 metalfans.
PIK entred the studio once again to record their 1997 demo Mankind the Unsuccessful Experiment. The response from the media was overwhelming, for instance the german Deftone Magazine praised it to the skies.
The band got first deal offers. PIK decided to sing the contract with the denish label Mighty Music-Emanzipation, who realized the debut of PIK The Heritage Of Past Gods 1998/99. The album was reviewed in all importent metal medias worldwide and recived mostly great reviews. For instance the german Rock Hard called the Heritage.... as "one of the beast doom albums since a long time" In the same year PIK also played shows with bands like Morbid Angel, Canibal Corpse, Samael and many more. The highlight of 1999 was for PIK an european tour with IMMOLATION throught 11
In the beginning of the year 2001, PIK started the work on the new album The Rotten Fruit Of Mercy and recorded a video clip for the song "Scapegoat"
