GLASER

(Glasow and Glaserow)

Note: Glasow is apparently a proper Polish personal and place name. Glasow appears in the churchbook of Schulitz as the embellishment of the German name Glaser. Glaserow is the Latin and sometime Polish embellishment of the name Glaser as well.

1. Christine Wilhelmine GLASER, wed Daniel PITTELKAU of Getau, Kreis Bromberg, Posen, Prussia, on 25 January 1846. She is the mother of August Julius PITTELKAU and several more children, as listed in the document ATREE.

Christine’s marriage rite was at the Evangelistic Church of Stadt Schulitz, Kreis Bromberg, Posen, South Prussia. At the time of her marriage, Christine was living at Kabott with her mother Eva Friedrice HERMANN. Her father, Friedrich GLASER was deceased.
Christine was born on 18 November 1824 at Jonia and died on 16 July 1906. At the time of her death she was residing with her youngest son, Emil Robert Pittelkau and his family in America. She is interred at Riverview Cemetery in Portland, Oregon never having become a citizen of the U.S.A.

2. Friedrich GLASER is the son of Johann and Catharina GLASEROW of Jeziorce (=Jonia). See marriage at Kabott, below. (Father of Christine)

3. Friderica Amalia GLASER in her marriage to Friedrich Wilhelm PFEFERKORN, below, is the daughter of Johann and Catharina GLASEROW of Jeziorce (=Jonia) and sister to Friedrich GLASER. See marriage at Kabott and her death, below. (Aunt of Christine)

4. Johann and Catharina GLASEROW from Jeziorce (=Jonia) are the parents of Friedrich GLASER and Friderica Amalia GLASER (Grandparents of Christine)
