Note: The following names are from the Evangelical Church Registers Index pages for “Graudenzer und Kulmer Kreis”, West Prussia. There were no Pettelkau names entered between 1797 and 1832. The index is an alpha index keyed by surname, the year, entry number and page number. No other information is contained in the index. This index contains the name “Pittkowski”. We have no way to determine with these registers if this family was originally of the Puttelkow people. There are many military church registers for this location so I am assuming that many men came and went from this place over a long period of time. The name Pittelkau is written perfectly in every instance indicating that the scribe was making a special effort to do a good job in writing it.
