Prussia.
West Prussia is a large piece of real estate. At various
times in its history it included Pommern, Landkreis Bromberg and the Territory
and free city of Danzig. This page does include the Territory and City of
Danzig but it does not include Pommern or Landkreis Bromberg. West Prussia
includes the City of Thorn where the Teutonic Knights
signed a treaty with Poland and Lithuania in 1466. Interestingly, this place is
across the Weichsel River from where many Pittelkau lived in Landkreis
Bromberg, and a few kilometers southeast from where many Pettelkau, Peddelkau,
Piddelkau and Pittelkau lived in West Prussia.
