Indonesienreise 2006

How everything began...

On July 4th, 2006 Ekkehart and I flew to Indonesia. The reason for our visit was to attend the central conference of the GGP (Gereja Gerakan Pentacosta = Pentecostal Church), which takes place every 5 years. 

GGP is a partner church of the MV (Mulheimer Verband) which is the denomination to which we belong to in Germany. We have been in partnership with GGP for 50 years now. The leaders of GGP visited Germany 2 years ago, and were now inviting a German delegation to come to there conference. They were very pleased that the "first man" of the MV to visit the conference was Ekkehart and that I could join him.

So we agreed, and our adventure began. For two weeks we would have a full schedule of visits and services in several GGP churches all over the country. We would have other flights to different islands of Indonesia, and also a few days of sight seeing and private trips.
