scanners do not offer reliable protection against non-replicating malware (e.g., trojans)
Since a number of years, the majority of commercial antivirus (AV) and antitrojan (AT) software developers ignores a well known threat: popular and widely spread malware, in particular trojans, can be easily manipulated so that AV scanners and special AT scanners do not detect them anymore.

TrojanHunter report updated: The newly released version 3.6 is now capable
of detecting DLL trojans.

Notice: The McAfee report will be completely revised. Our previous scan
results were right but they did not tell the entire truth. We will inform
you to which extent McAfee uses "weak" signatures
from a file's resource section in order to detect compressed/crypted malware.
Moreover,
we will examine in more detail whether McAfee
has difficulties to detect DLL trojans.
