My first ' meeting ' with Sean Penn I had 1995 - he realy
impressed me very much as Matthew Poncelet in ' DEAD Man Walking
'. Nevertheless I must confess that I was actually no Sean Penn
fan - his films simply were not enough
'Mainstream' and I was
not much of a Cineast.
I do admit, before the summer 2005 I had never heard of Jeff
Spicoli, David Kleinfeld or The Indian Runner ...
This
changed however, when - one rainy sunday afternoon - I sat at my PC and
tried to receive via Internet more information about Sean Penn. A
rather frustrating effort, because I did not find very much and
the few fan sides I found were usually quite outdated.
So
I started to create my own Sean Penn Website - which was not so simple without any Web
Design knowledge whatsoever ... After I made the first attempt
with the help of an advertising-financed Provider, I decided then,
end of the year 2005, to get myself an advertising-free Website
with own Domaine and to design the sites new again.
This
is the result.
I
tried ' to squeeze in' as much as possible informations of Sean
Penn - which is quite an effort, versatile that he is ... But I know
by now most of his films (thanks to Amazon and ebay!) and in the
meantime I even know, who Jeff Spicoli is... 'The Indian Runner'
became one of my absolute favourite films and I informed myself in
details about Sean Penns journalistic activities in Iraq and Iran.
