16, 2005 - Madonna
admits: It was my fault! |
|
Madonna
has admitted in an interview with the TATLER magazine, her marriage
to Sean Penn broke down because she was too self-obsessed. The
pop superstar wed the Oscar-winning actor in a lavish cliff-top
ceremony in 1985, but the couple divorced four years later.
Madonna now claims she was too selfish and absorbed in her career to
give the time and effort their romance needed. The sexy singer, who
is now happily married to second husband Guy Ritchie, said: 'I
just wasnt ready to be married before. I was completely obsessed
with my career and not ready to be generous in any shape or form.'
Despite the breakdown of her marriage to Sean, Madonna says it
didn't put her off walking up the aisle again. She added to Britains
TATLER magazine: 'I wasn't scared at all, not the first or the
second time.'

5, 2005 - Sean Penn
saves families in New Orleans
|
A german
web-newspaper writes today:
Instead of donating money US actor Sean Penn did it 'the american way' to
help the victims of the Hurrican. He just took his boat and went to New
Orleans.
But, as reported by the 'Herald Sun' the mission nearly failed because the
boat, with Penn, a fotographer and some companions, nearly sunk. People
did wonder anyway, how the actor wanted to save people in this already
more or less full boat.
But the 45 year old made it. As reported by the 'New York Daily News',
Penn saved several people, that were locked in their houses. He also gave
them money and some he attened to the hospital. 73 year old Johnnie Brown
apparently called his sister and talked to her about his famous rescuer.
'He was very nice',
'Out there are still a lot of people', Penn was quoted by the newspaper. 'And there are dead bodies
everywhere.' He only wanted to help.
