- In 1978, I started sailing at age 14 in Austria, sailed on inland waters to 1982, starting then offshore sailing on coastal sea front Sizilia, Corsica, Elba.
- In 1983 I set exams up to yachting licence for inland waters and yachtmaster's certificate for inland navigation.
- During the season of 1987 I had a profession in polyester-motoryacht-construction of the boatyard Cytra Motorboote GmbH (Darmstadt/Weiterstadt, Germany). Parallel I set exams up to yachting licence for coastal waters and yachtmaster's certificate for coastal navigation.
- From 1991 to 1992 I built up the new sailing-school as a departement of the driving-school Vogt Fahrschulen GmbH in South of Germany (Stuttgart) and qualified me in courses for celestial navigation of the German Sailing Association.
- In Winter 1992/93 I visited the 13th symposium of yacht-design and yacht-construction in Hamburg.
- Since 1993 I am on job as free-lancer (yachtmaster's certificate for high-seas navigation) in the position of instructor, skipper and sail-trainer for international charter-clients and mostly German sailing-schools, travel-/charter-agencies and private owners (even teaching clients on their own yachts) in the Medditerranean, (North)Atlantic, Baltic- and North-Sea.
- In April 1994 I started my programme for graduated instructor of the German Yachting Federation for in-shore sailing (licence "A").
- Further in spring 1994: sail-trainer-qualification of the National Sailing Association (Berlin) and the training-centre of the National Sports Association.
- During summer 1994 I hired as helmsman
on the Dutch 37-meter-schooner
Marie Galanté in the Baltic-Sea. - Since autumn 1994 I expanded my job-services to yachtmanagement and marketing-services for private sailing-yachts and commercial charter-vessels over the size of 50 feet.
- In April 1995 I programmed my certification as yachtmaster instructor of the German Yachting Federation with the licence "B" for coastal-off-shore.
- From 1994 to 1997 I was continuously
following a private programme of higher
qualification for a (semi-)professional and successful sailing-carreer. - Spring 1999: invitation from Sir Chay Blyth (Challenge Business) to participate in the skipper assessment weekend for the BT Global Challenge 2000-2001 as one of 41 candidates.
- January 2001: started interests for kite sailing
