Images of the Partial Lunar Eclipse of 16 August 2008 with a compact camera

Namely a Panasonic DMC-TZ2 in various settings, often with surprising results.

Observation site: Gägelow near Wismar, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany.

Conditions: Varying cloudiness; pictures shown taken in rather clear intervals.

Mounting: None; either free-hand or balancing camera on a car roof (with interesting results :-)

One particularly long exposure was also tried, showing the vastly overexposed Moon and at least three stars trailing:
