Stryper keeps promising a benefit concert - but they do not tell when. They promised it for March, then they started with always new excuses. How shall we believe them?

We are sorry to say that Stryper did stop communicating with us. Also we did not hear anything about the promised Benefit Concert yet.
Thursday, 10th of February.
We are still waiting to hear from Stryper, to get notice of the date for the "Benefit Concert" they were promising. We hope that the recordings went well and Stryper will have time soon to take care of this.

Narnia played 2 shows over the weekend . 100% of their fee and 100% of merchandise gross income as well as additional donations are going to the Mexican Trust Fund. ($2,884.13)
So by end of January you all have collected more that US$11,000 - thank you very, very much!!!!
We are still waiting to see some more action from Stryper and Stryper fans - we will report as soon as something happens.

We are trying to keep up the communication with Stryper which is not easy at the moment. Besides that there is other activities going on. "Holy Soldier" are planing to get together and do a benefit show. Narnia will play the two benefit shows in the next weeks. There are people who try to sell things on eBay to generate money... And we still need you to support the Mexican Underground Church.

We are all shocked by the catastrophy in SouthEast Asia. And we all pray and also donate money to those who lost all they have. Still we ask to also donate some money to the Mexican Trust Fund as well. Let´s not make it a either or thing - let us just donate more. Some Dollars less for us means nothing - some Dollars more for the people in SouthEast Asia AND in Mexico means a lot to them! Thank you!

We got notice from Miguel Martinez that the 5,000 US$ have arrived on Christmas day. Thank you to everybody who made this possible.

"After reading many of the posts here, I wanted to take a moment to encourage everyone here. I don't want to see people throwing stones at Steve Rowe, Saviour Machine, Narnia, Stryper or anyone else for that matter. It's wrong and I know that those of you who write such hateful statements know this deep withing your hearts. We will continue to lift one another up and to pray for Steve Rowe, Saviour Machine, Narnia and anyone else whos name is being dragged through the mud. Stryper has overcome many obstacles through the years, and it has not been by our power, but by the power of CHRIST!
Lord God, I ask that You will intervene in what seems to be a hopeless situation, and I ask You to restore hope, and that You will give all of us peace in knowing that You are in control, no matter what our weaknesses may be - You are in control and You will guide us through this time of turmoil. I pray for the people of Mexico and I ask that You would bless them in this time of need, and I also ask that You would give us all peace and understanding to speak and act in love towards one another. Please turn this around for YOUR glory, and I pray that in a miraculous way, lives will be touched, changed and renewed!

We just heard that " Posts even remotely supportive of this site get deleted on stryperforum. When the secod official statement from SM, Narnia, MCM, and Mortification was copy/pasted onto stryperforum, the post was deleted within the hour. In fact, anything regarding Mexico that doesn't essentially boil down to "Stryper rulz, screw the Mexicans, rock on for the rock, I support the yellow and black" gets deleted. Those obviously aren't exact quotes, but they do accurately reflect the only type of post that's allowed (Support Stryper at all costs). One of the forum mods even publically vowed to not allow anything negative about Stryper to be posted there (in a thread entitled "Closing Threads")." We want to thank everybody who stayed fair - we leave every post online!

There was a new statement set up from the Bands and their Management in
response to the the recent statements made by Deep South Entertainment,
Michael Sweet and Stryper. It is in the "Band Statements" section.
Also we have added the letter of Claudia Martinez, the wife of the
pastor of the Underground Church - you can find it in the "Letter to Management" section.

THIS IS A MESSAGE FROM NARNIA
Narnia will play two concerts in January 2005, one in Umeå - Sweden on Jan
28th and one in Keuruu - Finland on Jan 29th
100% of both fees that Narnia will receive for playing the concerts and 100% of
the GROSS AMOUNT gained from merchandise sales will go straight to the
promoters of the Revolution Metal Fest in Mexico City (The Underground Church).
Herewith we challenge Stryper to do the same:
Give 100% of the GROSS amount from Your "Mexico collectors package" to
the Underground Church that promoted the festival! Play one concert and
give ALL the money to Mexico.

Saturday, 18th of December IMPORTANT NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!
The MEXICAN UNDERGROUND TRUST FUND was set up - everybody can now help to make the wrong right. Please donate as much as you can - no matter if its 1 Dollar - or 10 - or 100 or more! The Trust Fund site will be updated as soon as your money comes in - everybody can see the actuall total any time.
Names of the donators will be listet. Now everybody can not only deliver a statement in words but also by action!

Now knowing that Stryper does not pay back one single Cent from the 56,500 US$ because they have spent all the money we have decided to take care of this. At the moment we are working on setting up a Trust Fund to help the Mexican families.

Finally M. Sweet came up with a statement. We had asked him to do so for weeks - he did not care. So why NOW? We are working on an official statement of the bands concerning this. It will be online soon!
Friday, 17th of December
Stryper finally has sent the promised statement to the Mexican promoter and told them that they will NOT pay back a single Cent because "This money has already been allocated and disbursed on expenses directly related to this event." as they wrote in an email. 56,500 US$???
But they expect "encouraging results" from the sales of their "Mexico City Collectors Package" and will send the "net proceeds" to Mexico.

Stryper has promised an answer to the Mexican people first thing in the morning. But they did not answer so far. So this website went online today! Many people have already reacted and expressed their shock about Stryper´s behaviour.
Press is getting interested and first interviews etc. are set up.
