Story
Billy spent many of his childhood years playing clarinet and learning music theory, but skip ahead 18 years or so and you'll find him holding a bass. Billy taught himself to play, following the styles of John Deacon (Queen), Tony Levine (Peter Gabriel), Tommy Shannon (Double Trouble) and Chris Chaney (Jane's Addiction). He gained a great deal of live experience with different bands of diverse styles, mostly in Glasgow and with a few short tours round his native Scotland. Employment took him, by turns, to Munich where, after a chance meeting in a bar, he started playing with Tony for the band The Still. From there, it was a short but fortuitous step into sub ether radio. As a bass player, the great benefit of playing with sub ether radio is the complete freedom offered for expression and experiment. Nothing is ruled out; that's a refreshing position to be in.
